Quad9 integrates more than 18 unique sources of threat intelligence, including open and commercial sources, to defend against common threats like malware, viruses, phishing hosts, botnet control hosts, and other criminal risks. If your device attempts to connect to any of these sites, Quad9 blocks the connection and notifies you of the attempt to connect to a known risk. Furthermore, Quad9 implements strict DNSSEC to ensure that the provided DNS answers are accurate. Users have the option to disable the blocking protection and receive unfiltered DNS with no blocking or DNSSEC through an app setting. Quad9 does not filter any additional content categories.
